Paying it forward at Kalangyawon Elementary School
Hi Hive friends, I wanted to share some snaps from our recent culmination activity for the Hike for a Cause series, made possible by Day Hike Therapist (DHT).
Last Sunday, we visited Kalangyawon Elementary School in a remote barangay in Carcar, Cebu. Located in the mountainous part of the town, getting there required a habal-habal (local motorbike) ride through steep roads and cliffs. Despite the challenging journey, the trip to the school was incredibly rewarding.
We were overwhelmed with joy seeing the smiles on the children's faces. They were delighted with the games we prepared for them, as well as the feeding program. Additionally, we distributed slippers to approximately 250 students.
Participating in this event made my weekend very fulfilling, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of such meaningful activities. I'm looking forward to joining more of these in the future.
If you're interested, I've written a detailed blog about our experience during the culmination event.
You can check it out here: Hiking for Hope: Transforming Lives at Kalangyawon Elementary School | Carcar, Cebu.
Went home with a happy heart and a big smile on my face. Alone we can do so little, but all together we can do so much.
How was your weekend? What did you do?
xoxo
